Mumbai on Wednesday revealed 490 new Covid cases on a day when Maharashtra recorded the most noteworthy single-day spike in 48 days with 1,201 new Covid cases. The capital city saw a leap of more than 160 from the earlier day however didn’t record any casualty caused because of the disease. In any case, eight new Covid passings were accounted for in the state.

The city had revealed 204 Covid cases on Monday and 327 on Tuesday.

No new instances of the Omicron variation were accounted for from the state today. An aggregate of 65 instances of the quick spreading strain have been identified in the state up to this point. Out of these, 35 have been released following a negative RT PCR test result.
